This is an excellent children's book. There's just a bit of danger and drama to capture a young person's interest, but the overall story is filled with warmth and simple joys. I especially liked that the story is based on the childhood memories of the author's own father. I look forward to sharing this book with my grandsons.

A precious family story handed down from a father and skillfully written and illustrated by a daughter's artwork. Liked it very much!! Betty Brown
